The DragonLord) on 03/06/94 Time : 5:06 Play Mode : PAL (50Hz) [See: PAL_NTSC.TXT] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Here is yet another original composition by Yours Truly, The DragonLord. I feel quite proud of this one, and consider it some of my best work yet. I spent a lot of time working on this one, getting everything done the way I wanted, and making sure everything fit together well. I'm quite pleased witht the way it turned out, though, even if it isn't as long as I would have liked. I actually intended to make it longer, but the ending rather sneaked up on me, and I realized, as I wrote the second last pattern, that no more needed to be done; it was the ideal ending (to me), so I left it relatively alone at that. I sometimes spent a considerable amount of time just working on one pattern, finding the perfect melody to accompany the main line, or writing a good sague to lead into another part, which sometimes got rather complex. But the final result is here before you, and I do hope you enjoy it. It's perhaps not in the same genre as my Lucid Dreaming MODs, but I don't write in any particular genre. I write what I enjoy writing, and it may not always be the same _type_ of MOD as its predecessors. I enjoy variety, differences in music within itself, and differences in genres, as well. Many of you may notice that I rarely repeate "verses" or segments of music; there's always something different about each and every pattern. That's the way I like to write, with wide variety of sound. Some say that it's disjointed, that "there's no melody to latch on to". I don't write "catchy" songs, or songs you can "latch on to". I write songs to be felt and experienced and appreciated for what they are. Music is a powerful medium, perhaps one of the most powerful because it can change your whole mood in a matter of minutes, and that to me is very powerful indeed. And I try to reflect that in my music. It may not be for everybody, but then I'm not out to please everybody. I write what I want to and feel like writing. Not what people want or expect me to write. At any rate, I hope you enjoy this latest offering. Spread it wherever you please, but please keep all relative files mentioned above retained in the archive before you do. Questions? Comments?
