Hi Y'all Sick of drop out's , caused by them damn Telecom Touchfones???? Then here's the answer.... excuse the crappy drawing but i hope you will get the Idea... Parts needed are.... $COST Rod Irving's Catalog No. 1X C106D Silicon Controlled Rectifier $1.50 T21206 1X WO4 Bridge Rectifier $0.80 Z11032 1X 0.1uF Mains rated Capacitor $1.75 R16120 1X 18 Volt Zenner Diode $0.30 Z10238 1X 100 K ohm resistor $0.05 R10070 1X 4.7 K ohm resistor $0.05 R10054 build the circuit as per the diagram... and all is well. apart from the benefit of not needing to unplug all the phones in the house each time you want to use the modem, another feature is that people who pickup a phone in the house while the modem is Online will not cause crud on the line as they are switched automatically out of circuit by the modem comming online. P.S. make sure connections to telecom plugs and sockets are on pins 2&6 as telecom plugs are a 6 pin plug but only 2 & 6 are used in a domestic situation. Apart from that... any problems , you're on ya own!!! P.P.S. Also included in this archive is a copy of PCX-View for those of you who need it to view this PCX file.
