Hanover Raid Intercepted by Mass Attack

Before the Luftwaffe found itself with
dwindling numbers, American bombers were
faced with large scale mass attacks by
enemy fighters. These attacks usually
started from head-on where the German
pilots would normally face less fire
power and could hit more critical areas
on the B17, such as the cockpit and
engines. More than once it happened 
that an entire element a B-17 formation
would be shot down in one attack.

This mission simulates a bombing mission
to the Hanover railroad yards. As the
mission starts you will already see the
enemy fighters approaching you in a line
abreast formation ready for their first
attack. You better hurry and get your
guns manned and ready because they will
be on you in a short while. Since the
scale of the mission builder doesn't 
allow for 100 plane scenarios, some 
adjustments were made to the German
fighter pilot skill levels. You will
find some a simple threat, others a bit
more dangerous, and a few downright
deadly.

Fight your way through the waves of 
enemy fighters and bomb the railyard
at Hanover and make it back home again
alive!

This one isn't going to be easy and 
you may have to jettison your load and
run for home before you become a sitting
duck!
