TITLE: Wrong ATM Font Prints PRODUCT: Ami Pro 2.0 DATE: 08-Oct-1991 PROBLEM: ATM is being used with an HP LaserJet Series II printer. Sometimes the wrong font is accessed or nothing prints. SOLUTION: Some customer reports have been received that ATM (Adobe Type Manager) fonts may print correctly in some Windows applications where other applications printing to the same HP LaserJet printer prints incorrect fonts or no font at all. This situation is thought to be caused by the printer's section in the Windows WIN.INI file containing incorrect information for graphics resolution. Follow this procedure to write correct printer resolution information into the WIN.INI file: 1. Load the application that is not printing the ATM font correctly. 2. In the application, access printer setup (in Ami Pro choose File / Printer Setup / Setup). 3. For Graphics Resolution, choose a resolution other than the current setting (for example, if the current setting is 300 DPI, chose 75 DPI). 4. Choose OK. 5. Choose Setup again to access the printer's setup dialog box. 6. Change the Graphics Resolution back to the desired resolution. 7. Choose OK. 8. Choose OK if necessary to completely exit printer setup. 9. Issue the print command again.
