The upgrade may include, but not limited to, an editor for the upcoming MOO ][. Bug fixes do not count against the registered users toward their two (2) free upgrades. To run the Editor Enter MOOSED and press Enter. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PROGRAM INFORMATION Limitations of the Shareware version include an incremental delay mechanism, and weapon amount limitation. Please refer to the table below: Date Delay Weapon amount ---------------------------------------------------------- May 5, 1995 5 seconds 3 max July 2, 1995 15 seconds 10 max October 15, 1995 20 seconds 20 max (afterwards) 30 seconds 50 max Before May 5, 1995, the delay is 5 seconds, and you're limited to installing 3 weapons per weapon slot. On May 5, 1995, the delay will be changed to the next increment (15 seconds), and the weapon limit adjusted accordingly. The delay will be incremented and weapons adjust accordingly until the date of October 15, 1995. On October 15, 1995, the delay will be frozen at 30 seconds and the Weapon amount limit will be frozen at 50. The Ship's HitPoint is limited to 120 in the Shareware version. In the REGISTERED version, there are no delays, and the Weapon amount is the largest available value, 255 max. Maximum HitPoint for any ship is 30,000. ALL weapons and ALL of the specials are available in both the Shareware and the Registered version. INSTRUCTIONS Master of Orion Ship Design Editor is very simple to run. When run, you will see an introduction screen. After the introduction screen, MOOSED will attempt to load CONFIG.MOO, to determine which saved games are available. Weapons and Specials are the standard improments. Please be careful if you wish to edit the Warp Mod, Shield, Attack, and Defense. Giving them values too high may result in strange effects.
