The individual clients of Allied, TrustBank, United or Volkskas can use the following products to conduct banking transactions outside a banking hall: * Bankteller ATM network * Banktel 100 telephone product * Banktel 200 or Unitel PC-based product The Bankteller ATM network is currently the biggest ATM network in South Africa. This enables the clients to perform transactions at any of the Allied, TrustBank, United and Volkskas ATMs at the same cost. Clients can perform the following transactions on the Bankteller network: * Cash withdrawals * Transfers * Third party payments (accounts etc.) * Balance enquires * Mini statements * Deposits Banktel 100 is Volkskas and TrustBanks' electronic telephone banking system. It uses the latest state of the art computer technology, which enables the client to do all of his banking transactions via telephone - even a cell phone from anywhere in the world. Unitel is available to Allied and United Bank clients. Banktel 200 is a PC-based home banking system the allows communications between the client and Volkskas or TrustBank via a modem on the Beltel system. The client can now do his banking from the comfort of his home. ACB FOCUS enables the client to process payments and collections electronically, rather than using cash and cheques. CASH FOCUS enables the client to conduct your banking from the comfort and security of his office. BUREAUFOCUS is a service offered by ABSA to clients wishing to process payments of collections electronically through ACB, but who do not have access to the necessary computer equipment to create magnetic tapes. SALARYFOCUS: Through this facility, we will handle a business' salary administration according to its specific needs on a bureau basis. RECONFOCUS provides bank statement information electronically to the client in a suitable format for reconciliation. ACB FOCUS enables the client to process payments and collections electronically, rather than using cash and cheques. It is a magnetic tape service run in conjunction with Automated Clearing Bureau (Pty) Ltd. (ACB). Payments and collections are conveniently processed electronically. Debit transactions can be processed against cheque, transmission and even some savings accounts. Credit transactions can be processed against cheque transmission and savings accounts. The client's management process is facilitated with information that is available at all times. A vast amount of documentation is eliminated. A high degree of confidentiality is maintained. CASH FOCUS enables the client to conduct your banking from the comfort and security of his office. It provides valuable information for effective decision making and allows the client to transfer funds between bank accounts at will. It's as simple and convenient as linking a personal computer to our mainframe computer. Banking transactions are conducted from the comfort and security of the office. The utilisation of cash funds can be improved by managing them more timeously and effectively. Effective decisions are made by taking into account economic and other financial market information. Debtor collections and creditor payments are done from the office. Staff can be utilised more effectively and human errors minimised as far as possible. Banking is managed with a high standard of security. BUREAUFOCUS is a service offered by ABSA to clients wishing to process payments of collections electronically through ACB, but who do not have access to the necessary computer equipment to create magnetic tapes. The client supplies us with information on payments or receipts via his personal computer(s), and the bank then creates the magnetic tapes for ACB. * Savings on service charges and tax. * Elimination of cheques and cash receipts. * Improved cash flow. * Comprehensive management information. * No capital expenditure in respect of computer equipment. SALARYFOCUS: Through this facility, we will handle a business' salary administration according to its specific needs on a bureau basis. This entails all processing, calculations and the printing of reports and salary slips. The entire system is operated and maintained by ABSA. Administration is largely eliminated, thus saving labour costs. Net salaries are distributed electronically to employees account. Statutory requirements or charges can be implemented at short notice. Statutory returns are provided. Fringe benefits and bonuses are accommodated in the system. Salary slips and IRP5 forms are issued. Leave is easily calculated and administered. RECONFOCUS provides bank statement information electronically to the client in a suitable format for reconciliation. The client has the choice of getting the information on magnetic tape or downloading data direct from our mainframe onto his own personal computer. The client is kept fully informed of the true state of his business' banking affairs at all times. Reconciliation by computer is faster, saving both time and labour. Expenditure on stationary is reduced. Your computer equipment is used and the format of information can be adapted to suit the needs of the business. Human error and labour costs are largely reduced because the physical entering of information is eliminated.
