from entrance examinations. For senior middle schools,
reform of college entrance
examinations is carried out. Entrance examinations
are required to measure the overall quality of graduates,
and their content should not go beyond standard requirements.
There should be not only unified examinations but also
selective examinations to allow senior middle school
students to have more choices. In the process of promoting
quality-oriented education, attention should be paid
not only to students' intellectual development but also
to their moral, physical and aesthetic development as
well as the learning of labor skills and social practice.
This is intended to promote an overall development and
a healthy growth for students. Quality-oriented education
also involves the following: compilation, experimentation
and revision of a new curriculum system, reform of teaching
content and teaching methods, establishment of a new
evaluation system and the training of teachers.
