Welcome to this CD Active 4 CD-ROM!

Before you occupy yourself with the software on this 
disc, you better read this text first.

This CD-ROM contains mostly BBS software. BBS stands for 
Bulletin Board System. To use a BBS you need a PC and a 
modem. With the modem connected to a phone-line you can 
call a BBS and "download" programs. Mostly you pay a fee 
for using the BBS or you have to dial a phonenumber with a 
price per minute. 
Furthermore you have to pay your telephonecosts. A program 
with a 1 MB size has a download time of 25 minutes at a 
9600 bps speed. Your monthly telephone bill will reach such 
heights, that looking for alternatives pays off.

This CD-ROM is such an alternative. The structure of this 
CD-ROM is like a Bulletin Board. Through menu's you can 
explore this CD-ROM. If you find something of your interest, 
just double-click and the program will be copied (downloaded) 
onto your harddisk. Thats the work we've done for you,
downloading all these programs and creating this CD-ROM.

By far the most programs on this disc belong to the so-called
shareware-concept. Shareware is a way to bring software
to the users. You are allowed to use your shareware 
programs for a certain time in order to try and find out
whether they fit in with your expectations. Regularly, 
the instructions will tell you for what period you can 
use your programs freely. After a certain time, shareware
programs must be registered if you want to continue. 
Then you pay a certain amount for the program you want 
after which, very often, you receive help, updates for
free and a printed manual.
Of course you have already paid for this CDROM, but that
was only for our effort to make these programs available 
to you in a simple way (please note: not all files are 
programs!). In this way, a large group of shareware 
programs are easily accessible. However, you still did 
NOT pay for the use of these programs! All programs are
their makers'properties.

Please be so kind as to respect the shareware-concept 
and to support it, making yourself registered.
The authors gave much of their time and energy to their
programs; it is grace to them that you can try and use
their products before buying them. By the way, not all 
programs will be suitable for all PC's. Your instructions
will tell you what is needed for a certain program. 
We developed this CDROM most carefully; nevertheless we
cannot guarantee a correct processing of all programs.

will provide you with a postal or e-mail address.

The editor of this CDROM, being well aware of the eventual
existence of viruses, took all possible precautions and
