Index of Archive of postings to comp.binaries.psion

This list is taken directly from the Imperial College archive, and has not been checked for accuracy. Some of the headings are far from descriptive, but most should give an idea of what is contained within. All the files are gzipped; once gunzipped they contain the original news article, which is likely to have a uuencoded file in it. Finally, the uuencoded file may also need to be unzipped (most likely using pkunzip)...

PC users will find that WinZip (which works for all flavours of Windows) will extract the uuencoded file from the gzipped archive. WinCode is a Windows program for uuencoding and uudecoding. Once decoded, you should be left with a usable file (which may be pkzipped - WinZip can deal with this too).

Most of these programs will find their way onto the Psion archive at Imperial College (if they haven't already), and you might find it easier to check there before going through the hoops necessary to extract them from these links.

Where there is some descriptive text this has been taken from the article posted co comp.binaries.psion. I make no warranties as to the merit of these programs, or their compatibility with your hardware. If you have any problems with anything downloaded from the archive, please take them up with the author of the program.

This index was last updated on 27 November 1995 - the most recent files are at the bottom of the list. Where explanatory text is provided, it is taken from the original post to comp.binaries.psion.

The future

As you may have noticed, this index is getting a bit big, and there is considerable redundancy in it. When I have time, I plan to do the following:
