GOD LOVES YOU! Did you know that God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life? Well He does! Look at this verse: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) Think of it like this: For God so loved YOU, that he gave his only begotten Son, that if YOU believe in him, YOU should not perish, but have everlasting life. References: God loves you and offers you a full and meaningful life. 1 John 4:9: "In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him." 1 John 5:11 : "And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son." This full and meaningful life is abundant. John 10:10: "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly." This full and meaningful life is everlasting. John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." YOU ARE A SINNER: Yes, IT IS A FACT THAT YOU ARE A SINNER. The fact is, we are all sinners: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" (Romans 3:23) You have sinned against God in thought, word, and deed. Won't you admit to yourself right now that you are a sinner and that you need God? References: Failure to turn yourself over to Jesus Christ is sin. John 3:18: "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." Romans 5:12: "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" Sin is not believing in God and not believing in Jesus, God's Son. 1 John 5:10: "He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son." All unrighteousness is sin. You have committed sins of commission (doing what is wrong) and sins of omission (not doing what is right). 1 John 5:17: "All unrighteousness is sin: ..." YOU ARE NOW DEAD IN SIN: Look at this verse: "For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23) You have already admitted that you are a sinner. God would have you to know that "the wages of sin is death". You are dead in sin until you accept Christ as your personal Savior. To be saved means to be made alive. Do not despair, there is hope . . . References: You are dead in sin until you accept Christ as personal Savior. Ephesians 2:1: "And you [hath he quickened], who were dead in trespasses and sins;" Death is spiritual separation (your sins have separated you from God), physical separation (spirit and soul are separated from the body), and eternal separation (you are lost in your sin forever without Christ as Savior). One day you will have to answer to God for having not accepted Christ as Savior. Revelation 20:11 - 15: "And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it....And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened...and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works....and they were judged every man according to their works....And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." CHRIST DIED FOR YOU: Here's the good news: IT IS A FACT THAT CHRIST DIED FOR YOU Look at these verses: "For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:6-8) Christ died for those who are unlike God. This includes you. In the light of these wonderful Scriptures, will you now thank God for His sending His Son to bear your sins in His own body on the cross? Now admit to yourself that "Christ died on Calvary for me!" References: The full and meaningful life is made possible by Christ's death and resurrection. Romans 5:8: "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 4:25: "(Christ) was delivered for our offenses, and was raised again for our justification." The full and meaningful life includes forgiveness of sin. Romans 6:23: "For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Ephesians 1:7: "In whom (Christ) we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;" Christ died physically so that we would not have to die spiritually! 1 Peter 3:18: "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:" YOU CAN BE SAVED BY FAITH: The greatest news of all is that YOU CAN BE SAVED BY FAITH IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST! By placing your faith in Jesus Christ, you can be saved. "... [He] said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." (Acts 16:30-31) Jesus Christ died for you, was buried for you, and rose from the dead for you. He is now at the right hand of God making intercession for you. References: You enter into eternal life through a spiritual birth by faith. In John 3:1-8, the story of Nicodemus is told. He wanted to know what to do to inherit eternal life. Here's what Jesus said to him: John 3:3: "Jesus answered and said unto him, 'Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.' " The spiritual birth is more than accepting facts. James 2:19: "Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble." The spiritual birth is more than doing good works. Ephesians 2:8-9: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." PRAYER FOR SALVATION: Look at Romans 10:9-10: "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." The prayer for salvation: "Lord Jesus, I know You love me because You died on the cross bearing my sins. Thank You, Lord, for revealing my lost, sinful condition." "I confess that I am a sinner, dead in sin, and cannot save myself. I do gladly accept You as my Savior, and thank You, Lord, for eternal salvation. Amen." John 1:12: "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:" To receive Jesus you must be willing to turn from your sins. Acts 3:19: "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;" KNOW THAT YOU'RE SAVED: Congratulations, you are now a child of God! What's more is that YOU CAN KNOW YOU'RE SAVED. Check out these verses: "He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; [and] he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." (1 John 5:10 -13) Your faith in God's infallible Word is your assurance of salvation: He who believes on the Son of God has [present tense] everlasting life. Praise God you are His child forever! References: You can know that you possess a full and meaningful life in Christ because of Christ's promise. John 5:24: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life." You can know that you possess a full and meaningful life in Christ because of your commitment. Romans 10:13: "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Hebrews 10:23: "Let us hold fast the profession of [our] faith without wavering; (for he [is] faithful that promised;)" You can know that you possess eternal life in Christ because of the presence of the Holy Spirit. 1 John 4:13: "Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit." Romans 8:16: "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:" YOUR BIRTH CERTIFICATE: Here is your eternal life "Birth Certificate". 1 John 5:11-13 "And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; [and] he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." References: You are cleansed of all sin, created again in Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:17 - 21: "Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things [are] of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ,....Now then we are ambassadors for Christ,....For he hath made him (Christ) [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." One proof of the new birth is your faith in Christ -- that He is God -- and it gives you evidence within yourself that you are a Christian. 1 John 5:1: "Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him." An evidence of your Christianity is that you do good.
