Choose Help:Contents to view the online help. To open a demo workspace, choose File:Open and select demo.wsp or demo2.wsp. To open demo images, choose File:Open and select a file from the rendered directory. To render the camera view, choose View:Render. To create a new workspace and begin editing, choose File:New. To add an object, select the Mode:Add and click in the view. To have a renderable scene, you must have a shape, a camera, and a light. To select an object, make sure Mode:Select/Drag is selected, and click on it's hotspot. The hotspot is a small black box located on the object. It turns red when selected. To deselect all objects, click in an open area in the view. To select multiple hotspots, hold down the Ctrl key while selecting. To select all hotspots within a box, click in an open area in the view, drag out a box, and release. To move an object, make sure Mode:Select/Drag is selected, then click and drag the object's hotspot. To rotate an object, select it and choose Mode:Rotate. Drag the mouse to rotate the object. To resize an object, select it and choose Mode:Size. Drag the mouse to resize the object. Use shaded preview for your camera view by choosing View:Type:Shaded Preview. To setup your environment and rendering settings, choose Properties from the File menu. Shapes consist of points, polygons, and a mapping axis. To edit these parts, select a shape and choose the corresponding entry from the Mode menu. Return to normal editing by choosing Mode:Root. To create smooth 3D curves, enable Curved Drag, then select a group of points within a shape and drag them. To drag a hotspot which is covered by others in a view, first deselect and reselect it in another view where it is not covered. When adding polygons by hand, add the points in clockwise order when viewed from the polygon's outside. To Extrude and Lathe, select a polygon, and choose Object:Extrude or Object:Lathe. To toggle mouse motion restriction, you can click on the world axis which is located in a corner of every view. You can bring up the object menu for an object by clicking the right mouse button on it. You can reposition the toolbars by clicking in a non-button area within the toolbar box and dragging. To understand how to use smoothing, search for smoothing in the help file. You can change the perspective of a camera by selecting it, choosing Properties, and changing View Plane numbers. To view statistics from the last rendering, choose File:Rendering Statistics.
