Installation of Q Zone is simple. From Windows 95: 1). Click on the "Start Up" button on the task bar. 2). Place your cursor over the "Programs" button and click on "MS-DOS Prompt". 3). Switch to your CD-ROM drive. 4). Type INSTALL and then press the "Enter" key. 5). Follow the instructions provided.* 6). Type QZONE to begin the adventure. (Note: you need a minimum of 16 Meg RAM to play Q Zone from within Windows 95) From DOS: 1). Switch to your CD-ROM drive. 2). Type INSTALL and then press the "Enter" key. 3). Follow the simple instructions provided.* 4). Type QZONE to begin the adventure. System Requirements: Pentium class CPU or better (P-120 recommended). DOS 6.x or Windows 95 16 Meg RAM CD-ROM drive. 26 Meg free on the hard disk on which Quake is installed. NOTE WELL: You must already own the registered version of Quake to play QZone. * Notes: during the installation process, you will be asked where Quake is installed and the full path of quake.exe. You will first be asked to provide the drive and directory where Quake is installed. After the installation is finished, you will be returned to to the DOS prompt in your Quake directory. A message will appear saying "Type QZONE to continue." Typing QZONE will launch the Q Zone front-end. The 1st time the Q Zone front-end is launched, you will be asked for the full path for quake.exe. If you are unsure of where Quake is installed, from Windows 95 you can use the Find utility. Click on the "Start" button Place cursor on "Find" Click on "Files or Folders" Then type quake.exe and press the "Enter" key. (This will cause Windows 95 to search for quake.exe on your C: drive. If you have more than one hard drive, you can make Windows 95 search all your drives.) Once located, the full path of quake.exe will be displayed. Examples: If Quake is installed in C:\quake when prompted during the installation, type C:\quake when prompted when launching the front-end for the first time, type C:\quake\quake.exe If Quake is installed in E:\games\id\quake you would type E:\games\id\quake and E:\games\id\quake\quake.exe when prompted during installation and when launching the front-end for the first time, respectively.
