Sikumi Tree Lodge: Built in a one hundred square mile private wildlife estate bordering the Hwange National Park, Sikumi Tree Lodge offers a touch of luxury in a most unusual setting. Each comfortable tree lodge has en-suite facilities, hot and cold running water and electric blankets in winter. In typical safari tradition, the spacious bar and dining room provide a central meeting place. The shady lawns and sparkling swimming pool are delightfully cool in the heat of the day. Outside the camp, the wilderness reigns: the swaying gait of elephants lumbering to a water hole, the dusty advance of wildebeest blurred against a copper-colored sky, the bird calls of the teak forests and open savanna. Take game viewing drives in one of our specially designed open Land Rovers, in the capable care of a licensed guide. Make the most of unparalleled photographic opportunities in the park and on the estate.
Sable Valley Lodge: Even the architecture at Sable Valley is sensitive to the environment, the unique design incorporating natural materials from the surrounding area. Cool Gwaai River stone, pink slate and rich tropical hardwoods are sheltered by a soaring hexagonal roof, thatched in traditional Matabele style. The spacious central building incorporates a breathtaking bar and dining area with a game-viewing platform which overlooks a well-attended water hole. Sable Valley Lodge is situated in its own exclusive forestry reserve bordering the Hwange National Park. Each lodge, at a discreet distance from the others, has en suite facilities with solar power. Spacious and cool, their design echoes the theme of the main complex. Sweeping green lawns and majestic shade trees surround an attractive swimming pool. After a rewarding day exploring the wild, dine under the stars, with an open fire nearby and the night sounds of the African bush calling from the darkness beyond the perimeter.
Kanondo Tree Camp: Kanondo is small and exclusive, catering for limited groups away from the beaten track. Each private tree house has basic en suite facilities and its own view of the water hole. The central boma where meals are served around the campfire, also encloses a larger viewing-platform which directly overlooks the permanent water hole. The famous Kanondo Underground Hide, a sunken hide close to the waters edge, is a wonderful feature which provides heart-stopping views of wildlife at close quarters, yet in complete security. The photographic opportunities from such a hide are spectacular. The Presidential herd of elephants, which is resident in the Kanondo area, have had a special protection decree issued for their perpetual safety, by the President of Zimbabwe. The camp is situated just 1 km from the Hwange National Park boundary and game viewing drives can be taken in both the private reserve and in the national park.
