Tongabezi Lodge: Quiet and exclusive, Tongabezi is a secluded riverside camp on a sweeping bend in the Zambezi, only 20 minutes by road from Victoria Falls. The Zambezi is certainly the most diverse and fascinating river in Africa, with elephant, buffalo, antelope, hippos and crocodile to be seen, as well as over 300 recorded bird species in the area. Tongabezi Lodge accommodates 16 guests in five twin-bedded tented cottages and three large luxury double bedded houses - the Honeymoon, Tree and Bird House. All rooms are only feet from the water and have spectacular views across the river. Built of local materials, every room is unique in design and is set amongst the camps ebony and acacia trees. Each has its own shower, flushing toilet and electricity. Also provided are room service and same day laundry. The swimming pool is landscaped into a cliff and meals are served on the deck overlooking the river. Activities at Tongabezi include visits to the Victoria Falls, sunrise and sunset boat trips along the Zambezi, canoeing, whitewater rafting, picnic lunches on a Zambezi Island, or even lunch on Livingstone Island, in the middle of the Falls.
Sindabezi Island Camp: Located 4 km. downstream from Tongabezi, Sindabezi Island Camp offers the experience of a bush camp (and the chance of elephants in the dining room!). Built on a small shady island in the middle of the Zambezi River, at Sindabezi you will find four reed and thatch chalets and a dining room which faces east over a floodplain of the Victoria Falls National Park. Here, elephant, buffalo and buck feed most evenings. Spectacular sun and moon rises, fantastic bird life and wandering elephants make this island so special - especially for private groups or guests from the main lodge looking for something different.
Livingstone Island Camp:It is arguable that Livingstone Island Camp is the most exclusive site in the world, right in the center of Victoria Falls waterfall. Dr. Livingstone first camped here when he discovered the Falls in 1855, and Tongabezi is now privileged to have exclusive access to it. Zambia National Parks nonetheless strictly control the ecology of Livingstone Island; no permanent structures are allowed, numbers are limited and literally everything brought onto the island must be transported off too. The camp is comfortable but basic; access is by inflatable dinghy or canoe. During your stay you can walk through the tropical rainforest and enjoy satisfying meals, only meters from the edge.
