Tanda Tula lies in the heart of the Timbavati, and is a privately-owned family game reserve on the western boundary of Kruger National Park. Tanda Tula means to love the quiet and this is the philosophy that guides Pat Donaldson and his team at this small exclusive lodge. The charming thatched rondavels and lodge buildings, painted in rich ochre, have been completely redecorated and refurbished. Each of the bedrooms is air conditioned and have en suite bathrooms. The wide thatched verandah of the lounge overlooks the pool and a waterhole which draws the game to drink. Awake to the dawn chorus of bush birds before leaving camp in your open Landrover where you will have a chance to spot Africas game, big and small: zebra, kudu, giraffe, elephant and possibly a glimpse of the famous white lions of the Timbavati. Enjoy a bush breakfast under a canopy of trees and listen to the sounds of the bush. The bird life is spectacular and ideal to spot as you relax after lunch around the pool. The night drive takes in the setting sun. When Landrovers return to camp, guests gather around the crackling boma fire under the wide star-studded night sky.
