Khwai River Lodge is cradled on a the gentle curves of the Khwai River which forms the natural boundary of the Moremi Wildlife Reserve. The tranquil setting of the lodge belies the fact that you are in Africa until it is broken by the snorting of the hippo and the trumpeting of cavorting elephants using the river as refuge from the midday heat. Khwai River Lodge has 12 twin-bedded thatched brick bungalows, with en suite facilities, and features a large swimming pool. Your Ranger will guide you through the Reserve in an open safari vehicle or on foot, revealing vividly the private lives of the ostrich, antelope, crocodile and hippo, to name a few. Specially constructed hides give the patient watcher a chance to be up-close to the abundant bird life as well as the wildlife that wanders by. Hot and cold water, electricity, laundry facilities and a fully-stocked bar are available.
