VONDIE CURTIS-HALL

Vondie Curtis-Hall (Dr. Dennis Hancock) is best known for his starring role as Sugar LeDoux in the motion picture Passion Fish. His additional feature-film credits include Drop Squad, Clear and Present Danger, Crooklyn, Sugar Hill, Falling Down, The Mambo Kings, One Good Cop, Die Hard 2, Coming to America, The Cotton Club, Zooman and Heaven's Prisoners.

Vondie studied theater at Juilliard in New York and at London's Richmond College. His stage credits include Broadway's Dreamgirls, Lena Horne and It's So Nice to be Civilized, and Off-Broadway's Williams & Walder, The War Party, A Raisin in the Sun and Trinity. On television, Vondie has guest-starred in the series ER, South Central, L.A. Law, Fallen Angels, Civil Wars, China Beach and Nightmare Care.

Vondie was born in Detroit and now lives in Los Angeles.
