CHRISTINE LAHTI

Christine Lahti (Dr. Kathryn Austin) has an extensive list of acting credits that includes Broadway theater, film and television. Her feature-film credits include Hideaway, Leaving Normal, The Doctor, Funny About Love, Gross Anatomy, And Justice for All, Whose Life Is It Anyway? and Running on Empty, for which she received the Los Angeles Film Critics Award and a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress. She was nominated for an Oscar and a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in 1984's Swing Shift.

Christine received a Golden Globe Award for her role in the television film No Place Like Home, which also earned her an Emmy nomination. She received Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for her work in the mini-series Amerika. Her additional television film credits include The Executioner's Song, The Fear Inside and Crazy from the Heart, which earned her the CableACE Award for Best Actress. She also starred in and directed a short film for Showtime entitled Lieberman in Love. Christine's stage credits include The Heidi Chronicles and Division Street on Broadway, as well as Off-Broadway productions of Little Murders, for which she won an Obie Award, and The Woods, which earned her a Theater World Award.

Christine was born in Birmingham, Michigan. She and her husband, director Thomas Schlamme, now live in Los Angeles with their children.
