JAASON SIMMONS

[Photo] Jaason Simmons (Logan Fowler) plays a transplanted and seasoned Australian lifeguard whose cocky attitude and Australian machismo put him at odds with his American male counterparts.

Jaason was born in Tasmania, a small island off the coast of Australia. By age seven, he had made up his mind to become an actor and was inspired by fellow Tasmanian movie legend Errol Flynn. In 1991, he moved to Los Angeles and quickly learned the true meaning of the words "starving actor." While on a break from acting class, Jaason returned for a visit with his family and subsequently landed the role of heartthrob Harry Tate on the popular Australian series Paradise Beach. His newly acquired celebrity status led to a role in his first feature, a black-and-white drama called Page 73, that marked the directorial debut of the celebrated Australian cinematographer Jeff Darling.

Jaason's leisure hours find him caring for his pet iguana, Aeon Flux, enjoying vampire movies and taking hikes.
