Lotus
The first Lotus car was built near London, England, in 1948 by Colin Chapman. Chapman then founded Lotus Cars Ltd. in 1955. Lotus originally produced cars specifically for racing and Lotus race cars have been driven by some of the most famous drivers in history. Currently Lotus sells to American buyers through approximately 50 dealerships.
