A contractual agreement that lasts a specified period of time or distance traveled, whichever comes first, during which the manufacturer covers the cost of repairs to a new vehicle. Most full warranties exclude normal wear and tear items such as brake pads. These excluded items are listed in the vehicle's warranty documentation.
