Traction Control
Traction control uses sensors to determine when wheels begin to slip and reduces engine speed and/or gently applies braking to maintain optimum traction.

Pros
Limits unwanted wheelspin when accelerating on slippery roads or surfaces. Especially useful for drivers who regularly drive in wet, muddy, or icy conditions.

Cons
Little benefit under normal driving conditions. Adds expense and mechanical complexity to the vehicle.
