All-wheel Drive (AWD)
Often confused with four-wheel drive, AWD applies power to all four wheels all the time. This reduces wheel slippage and can provide more control over a wider range of conditions. Unlike four-wheel drive, AWD is designed primarily for on-road use.

Pros
Offers more secure handling in slippery conditions or at high speeds.

Cons
Heavier, more complex, and more expensive to maintain than 2WD vehicles.
