Description 1997 Ford F-150 Retail Price Range: $14,430 - $22,330 The 1997 Ford F-150 is redesigned for 1997 and is available in 12 models: Styleside (base) 2WD and 4WD; Styleside XL 2WD and 4WD; and Flareside 2WD and 4WD, all available in regular cab or SuperCab. The 1996 model will continue to be produced until the fall of 1996. Standard safety features on the new model include dual airbags with a passenger-side cutoff switch, an anti-lock brake system (ABS), and 1999 side-impact protection. Two new engines are available, the standard 4.2-liter V6 that produces 205 horsepower, or the optional 4.6-liter 210-horsepower Triton V8. A 5.4-liter Triton V8 will be available in the fall. The SuperCab models come standard with seating for six and a third door for easier access. Several preferred equipment packages are also available on all models.
