Proposed FDA Regulation of Tobacco Products

In one of the most historic public health announcements in history, President Clinton stated on August 10, 1995 that his administration is proceeding with strong regulatory proposals on tobacco sales and marketing. The proposal is outlined in the August 10th Federal Register. Its ultimate goal is to reduce smoking by children and adolescents by 50 percent within seven years.
