Right-click 'MS-DOS Prompt' from the find results window and select 'Properties'. Click the 'Program' tab and click 'Advanced...'. Clear the 'MS-DOS mode' check box and click 'OK'.
NOTE: If running in MS-DOS mode, exit MS-DOS mode and return to Windows 95 by typing EXIT at the MS-DOS prompt.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Find' and select 'Files or Folder'. (The 'Find: All Files' dialog box appears.)
3) Click the 'Name & Location' tab. (The 'Name & Location' tabbed page appears.)
4) In the 'Named' box, type the following and press ENTER:
MS-DOS PROMPT
5) Click 'Find Now' to perform a search. (The dialog box expands to show the results of the search.)
NOTE: The result of the search is a list of 'MS-DOS Prompt' shortcuts.
6) If the list box is empty, type the following in the 'Named' box and press ENTER:
MS-DOSPR
7) Select any 'MS-DOS Prompt' shortcut from the list.
8) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Properties'. (The 'MS-DOS Prompt Properties' dialog box appears.)
9) Click the 'Program' tab. (The 'Program' tabbed page appears.)
10) Click 'Advanced...'. (The 'Advanced Program Settings' dialog box appears.)
11) Clear the 'MS-DOS mode' check box and click 'OK'. (The 'MS-DOS Prompt Properties' dialog box reappears.)
12) Click 'OK' to close the 'MS-DOS Prompt Properties' dialog box. (The 'Find: All Files' dialog box reappears.
13) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Close' to close the 'Find: All Files' dialog box.
