The purpose of the PressKit Project is fourfold:

• To provide an internet-based venue for the discussion of topics related to the creation of an anime club or anime fan organization media press kit.
• To aid in the creation of a standardized format for such a press kit, as well as to aid in the planning of individual distribution strategies for the press kit.
• To establish a web-based repository of all anime-related press kits, to be used for reference by anyone, as well as a web-based resource establishing guidelines on the creation of subsequent press kits.
• To assist other anime clubs or anime fan organizations in the planning and execution of press kit-related activities, such as media interviews, information seminars, conventions and festivals.
