Uploads to CDDB

CD/Spectrum Pro will allow you to upload your CD information to the CDDB servers. This is done internally via email. CD/Spectrum Pro composes an email message and sends it to xmcd-cddb@amb.org. This email address is user-configurable. The reset button sets it back to this default value.

Uploads are done on the “Upload to CDDB” page of the CDInfo dialog. Just click on the CDInfo button in the CD Player window, then choose the “Upload to CDDB” tab.

Before you can upload to the CDDB, you must fill in the text in the “Your return email address” and “Your email server” controls. If you don’t know what to type in there, please consult whomever provides your internet account (your “ISP”).

Uploads to the CDDB are stored based on “Revision”, so you may wish to increment the revision by one before uploading. This can be done on the “CD Information” page.
