How to Backup Your CD Information
It's a good idea to backup your CDP file once in a while. That way, if you ever have a hard drive failure (knock on wood), you'll be able to recover your CD information collection without having to re-key or re-download them all.
Below are the steps to backup your CDP file:
Start CD/Spectrum Pro
Bring up the CD Info DB module
Click the Export button
Click the "CDP File (Binary)" radio button
Enter an appropriate filename (this can be on a local drive, a network drive, or a floppy disk - like "a:\backup.cdp")
Click Save
If you ever have a hard drive failure or otherwise lose your CDP data, you can follow these steps to restore from your backup:
Start CD/Spectrum Pro
Bring up the CD Info DB module
Click the Import button
Locate your CDP file (or type in its filename)
Click Open
