Dialling Properties Additional Notes

To set the dialling properties on your PC: - Click START-SETTINGS-CONTROL-PANEL-MODEMS and select the Dialling Properties button. You will see the following dialog box: -

If your ISP has a local number then you will not need to enter an area code. Depending on your telephone exchange select TONE or PULSE dialling. If you have to dial a number to access an outside line then enter that number in the box provided. Some modems may disconnect from your ISP if you have call waiting enabled and someone phones you. We therefore advise you to disable call waiting for the duration of your connection to the internet. Enter the number to disable call waiting in the box provided.
