Color casts, overexposure, underexposure |
Color casts occur in images where the color balance has been destroyed. They appear to be seen through a colored filter. Use the white of a T-shirt, flesh color, sky blue, or some other familiar color when correcting the image. |
Overexposure occurs when color film has been exposed too long, resulting in an over-all white cast on the image. The bright areas lack gradation. |
Underexposure occurs when color film has been insufficiently exposed, resulting in an image that is dark throughout. |
