PhotoYCC (Photo CD) |
Kodak's Photo CD technology was designed to allow photographs to be viewed on a television screen. Due to the high quality of this system, it has come to be used for business applications as well. |
The Photo CD uses the PhotoYCC color model, which converts RGB data into a single luminous signal and two color signals. This faithfully reproduces images from silver nitrate film, and also contains information for converting the image data into television signals. |
