Still life |
Creating a sense of atmosphere is the key to good still life photography (also called tabletop photography). Avoid using the flash, relying instead on sunlight filtering through a window, or the colors and effects of indoor lighting. Attaching a soft filter designed for a standard film camera will produce a dreamy, floating effect. You can also get some interesting effects from the mixture of daylight coming through the windows plus indoor tungsten light. Digital cameras let you monitor the results of your efforts instantly, making it easier to test new ideas. |
