Making bottle labels

Purpose and application

You can use your printer to make seals and labels to affix to bottles. At times, you may merely want to simulate the effect of a label. At other times, such as when manufacturing numbers need to be printed on the label, use the actual label paper for the product.

Necessities

This depends on the content, but you will probably need drawing software. Special software for inserting bar-codes may also be required. Use adhesive label forms only if the background is white; otherwise, apply paste to the printed paper.

Making it work

If the paper is not smooth and flat, the printed labels will not look attractive and small characters may become illegible. Always use smooth paper. If colored paper is used, the printed colors may turn out differently than expected.
