Product designers can print design drawings for packages such as milk and beverage cartons or candy boxes, and assemble them into three-dimensional objects to use in presentations. |
Most packages do not include photographs, so drawings and illustrations are sufficient. If you intend to fill the background with a light color, use a high-quality printer. If the drawing is large, make sure the printer can handle the correct size of paper. |
With an ink jet printer, if the three-dimensional object is small, use thick photo-quality printing paper. If you are using a laser printer, or your printout is too large to use thick paper, print on thin paper and paste it onto thick paper before assembly. Laminate the paper before assembly to give the product the appearance of a vinyl finish. |
