Photographing transparent subjects |
The quality of the glass cannot be seen when the flash is used up close |
When photographing a transparent subject such as a glass object, the key is to capture the light passing through the object. Position the camera so that the subject is partly lit from the back and the material sparkles in an attractive way. Any supplementary light falling on the foreground should be soft to achieve a natural effect. The harshness of direct flash illumination will destroy the delicate effects of transparency, and should be avoided. |
The quality of the glass can be caught when the reflector is used together with the ambient light |
