Making good use of the macro mode of the camera |
Close-up shot taken without using the macromode |
When using a digital camera equipped with a macro mode for close-up shots, pay close attention to the distance between the subject and the camera, being careful not to exceed the effective range of focus. |
When taking close-up shots, the closer you approach the subject, the larger the discrepancy between the view-finder image and that of the photo. To ensure accurate framing, use the liquid-crystal display to frame close shots. |
When taking shots at the closest possible distance, or if the subject is very dark, you may find it difficult to focus while looking through the liquid-crystal display. You can hang a string from the camera at the minimum focusing distance to use as a point of reference. |
