The effect of color correction filters designed for conventional cameras

Florescent light and a variable colored filter were tried with a digital camera

If you use a color correction filter designed for a conventional film camera, it will produce the intended effect. But it will not be that different from the correction obtained by the auto-white balance feature. The slight difference in hues might make this worthwhile for those who like to experiment.

When you want to achieve drastic changes in color or other special effects, you should use a densely colored filter, or attach the filter to the flash instead of the lens.
