Color changes with the time of day

Due to lack of light in the late afternoon, the photo has a reddish cast

Sunlight changes its color temperature throughout the day. When shooting out of doors, you need to pay special attention to the predominance of red light when the sun is close to the horizon in the mornings and evenings. If your session begins at noon and lasts until evening, you will notice the change in the colors of your photographs.

Using the auto-white balance feature of your digital camera gives you relatively natural color reproduction, but when there is little light, it turns reddish. At these times you should augment the light using the built-in flash.

Depending on the feeling you're trying to express, the red cast might contribute a sense of atmosphere, which is not at all bad. If you take photographs using both techniques, you will give yourself a pleasant range of images from which to choose.

Flash is used to supplement the light and prevent a reddish cast
