The letters of a scanned copy are not clear

Jaggy letters

If there is no problem with the original copy itself, the trouble may have been caused by the resolution when scanning.

If the scanning resolution is set high but the letters of the original copy are too small, the printout will not be clearly visible.

On the other hand, if the copy is skewed when set on the scanner, the problem cannot be resolved with image editing software.

Letters of a suitable size for scanning can be scanned by the use of virtual dpi. Surprising results can be obtained this way.

Setting the resolution

Letters after corrections

When placing the document on the scanner glass, make sure that its vertical and horizontal margins are correctly set. If the document contains both letters and illustrations, make sure that both are properly aligned on the scanner.
