The scanned image is blurred and needs to be improved |

If the outline of an image is not clear, an entire picture appears blurred. |
To remedy this, sharpen the image with image editing software only once; with Photoshop this can be done by applying the Sharpen feature. Beware that, if sharpened repeatedly, the image will appear soiled. |
If you want to make more precise adjustments, use the Unsharp Mask feature. In Photoshop, the Unsharp Mask feature is on the Filter menu. |
