Image with low saturation |
Image quality can be improved to some extent with image editing software, as follows. |
First, scan the image at high dpi or on an enlarged scale (the dpi does not have to be virtual). |
Next, use image editing software to reduce the size of the image data; this should improve the appearance of moiré and roughness of the image. |
The saturation (color density and purity) of photos from magazines and leaflets is usually poor. The image quality can be enhanced by improving the saturation and slightly raising the contrast. |
