The file size of images stored in the BMP format increased |
BMP format files are stored without being compressed. Hence, the file size becomes large. |
A resolution of 72 dpi is adequate for viewing images viewed on screen. For this purpose, lower the resolution and rescan. If the image size is too small, readjust the size by using the scale function when scanning. |
If 256 colors are adequate for your purpose, import with 256 colors, which will reduce the file size. |
If the image is to be used for Window's wallpaper, the image will have to be preserved in the BMP format. |
