The dots on the printout of a scanned photo appear grainy |
Rough dots on a printout |
This happens if the resolution setting you make when scanning is too low in relation to the resolution setting you make when printing. |
When using an ink jet printer or a laser printer, which shows color gradation through the arrangement of numerous dots, set the scanning resolution from one third to one half the resolution you will use when printing. |
When you use a sublimation printer, which shows color gradation within each individual dot, use the same resolution setting during scanning and printing. |
