Part of the image scanned from books and magazines is blurred |
A partially blurred image |
If part of an image scanned from a book or magazine is blurred, and if there is no problem with the original, the original may not have been in direct contact with the glass surface of the scanner flatbed during scanning. Also, while the copy is manually pressed down on the flatbed as it is being scanned, its position on the flatbed may have been skewed by a slip of the hand. |
When a book or magazine is placed face down on the flatbed for copying, make sure the surface of the paper is in full contact with the flatbed surface. If the cover of the book or magazine can be detached, remove it before placing the original securely on the flatbed. |
When a thick sheet of paper is fed into the auto document feeder (ADF) attached to the scanner, caution must be taken not to press too heavily down on it because the weight could break the glass of the flatbed. |
