The scanned image is scratched or stained

Stained image

When the scanned image is scratched or stained, first, check the original. If there is no problem with the original, the trouble may have been caused by scratches or stains on the flatbed or the glass of transmitted light option. If this is the case, clean the surface of the glass. Refer to the manual before using detergents.

Even after the surface of the glass is cleaned, some stains may remain in the scanned image. If the stains remain in the same spot as before, the inside face of the glass may be soiled. If the stains appear on the entire face of the image, the sensor of the scanner may be stained.

In these cases, consult the manufacturer. Do not attempt to disassemble the scanner.
