Synthesized images look unnatural

Photo composed of separate images; the ship's environment appears unnatural

When you combine two or more images, sometimes the edges of the separate images will be sharp creating an unnatural effect. Use image editing software to remedy this problem.

In Photoshop, for example, choose Layer Options from the Layer menu. In the Name box, enter the correct image layer. Make sure Preview is selected. Use your mouse to click on the black triangle slider that is displayed on the left of the This Layer bar, and drag it to the right.

Photo after making adjustments

Keep the layers separate so that you can continue making adjustments until you are satisfied with the synthesized image.
