CMYK image is smudged when printed |
Color data must be converted to CMYK in order to produce process film. With the exception of color printers used by the printing industry, most color printer drivers can only receive data in the RGB mode, which the driver converts to CMYK for printing. Therefore, when CMYK data is printed, it is first converted to RGB and then back to CMYK. This double conversion process can cause the colors to look smudged. |
Use RGB data if available. Otherwise, use image editing software to perform the conversion from CMYK to RGB, then print the photo. |
Use Photoshop's to avoid smudging |
