Removing unwanted items from the picture

When you want to remove an unnecessary item from a photograph, such as a date, use image editing software.

If the editing requires detailed work, you can enlarge the image and alter it pixel by pixel. If this is too troublesome, you can copy an analogous section from the same or a similar photograph and paste it over the unwanted object.

To alter the photographic image on a pixel-by-pixel basis, you can avoid an unnatural effect by using Photoshop's Eyedropper Tool to pick up colors from surrounding areas and apply them where needed.

Use eye dropper tool to pick up color near the mark

Use brush tool to carefully brush the marked area

When making this type of correction, you should first backup your original image data. Always print the corrected image to make sure that the desired effect has been achieved.
