The photograph favors a certain color |

Depending on conditions at the time of the exposure, the film might take on an overall tint of a certain color. This is called a color cast . If red is favored, the image has a red cast. |
To correct a red cast, use image editing software to decrease the tone of the red, or increase its complementary color, cyan (the color at the opposite side of the hue circle). With RGB data, cyan is a combination of blue and green, so blue and green should be increased. |
In Photoshop, for example, select Adjust from the Image menu and click "Color Balance." In the dialog box, select Preview and adjust the colors. |
